Time is running out...

It is amazing how time flies. I finally finished my Thanksgiving leftovers and we are now into December! My wife and I started to freak out a little the other day when we realized how little time we have until Christmas. I am sure some of you are saying, "what? You have 23 days to go! Relax!"

That may be true for you, but my wife and I are about to go on our much anticipated honeymoon so we only have 15 days. We never got to go on one after our wedding in June so we put it off until December. Maybe not the best of timing, but in TV you work around any days you can get off and not ask questions! :-)

So with us in a little bit of a time crunch, this past Monday we went and got our Christmas tree. Decorating the tree is always a lot of fun. My wife is the queen of tree lighting. We bought 1200 lights and she somehow managed to put them all on our 7 foot tree! We then both put the ornaments on the tree. It was more fun this year because it was the first time we hung her ornaments on our tree. In the past she helped to decorate the tree at my place, but did not hang her ornaments on my tree or her roommates tree. So after collecting nice ornaments here and there for years she finally was able to enjoy them on a tree!

Last Tuesday was spent shopping fast and furious. We made a lot of headway, but still have a ways to go. My nephew still needs a gift as does my mom. The grandparents are taken care of, but what about my wife?!?! I am going to have to spend the little time we are not together taking care of her Christmas.

In addition to the presents we still have those Christmas cards we have to send and if we are not careful we may spend part of our honeymoon writing our Christmas cards!!!!

So, if you see a blur whizzing past you at the mall or around town over the next week if may be me or my wife trying to finish our holiday shopping. Here's hoping you have much success in your holiday shopping. We might need a Christmas miracle to finish ours! :-)

Have a great week and happy shopping!
