Happy Thanksgiving...

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a great time in the Smith household as my wife and I celebrated the holiday for the first time as a married couple. Because I had to work we were unable to go anywhere for the holiday meaning we had to stay home. My sister and her family went to Chattanooga to have Thanksgiving with her inlaws which left us with a small gathering of me, my wife, as well as my mom, and dad.

While I worked my wife slaved in the kitchen preparing each dish. On the menu was broccoli salad, fried turkey, cranberry sauce, dressing, squash casserole, sweet potato casserole, and pumpkin pie. Now before you give me a hard time for doing nothing to contribute to the dinner I did make the pumpkin pies the night before by myself. :-)

Still, when it was all said and done my wife was a champ. She was in a pressure situation cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the inlaws and she passed with flying colors. She even survived the surprise arrival of my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew who stopped by on their way to Newnan coming back from Tennessee and she found time to play with my nephew while timing out everything to be done at the same time.

If there is one thing that scares a cat to death it is a kid. When my nephew arrived the cats took cover, but after he left you can see in the picture above that they reappeared to enjoy a little leftover turkey and some water.

Have a great weekend and good luck shopping! :-)
